20th Anniversary of Maria De Mattias Institute in La Labor, Guatemala
The week after Easter, The Adorers of the Blood of Christ and the people of Guatemala whom they serve celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Maria De Mattias Institute in La Labor, a school for children in the equivalent of grades 7-10. The all day celebration included special songs that were written over the years to honor St. Maria, food booths, art projects, and health and ecology booths sponsored by the Sangre di Cristo Health Project, directed by Sister Dani Brought, ASC. Also during the event, Sister Kris Schrader, ASC, was honored for her 19 years of service to the Institute as teacher and principal.
