Springs of Redemption,                                     Rivers of Glory Human eyes never see most springs of water. From tiny cracks in the surface of our planet water bubbles up from dark and mysterious caverns underground. Once on the surface, the spring water begins an unobserved journey that will take it into creeks, streams and eventually to the great rivers of earth. The six weeks of Lent provide us with the opportunity to once again touch the pure, sweet waters of salvation. We have time to reflect upon our sins and to uncover the deep thirst for wholeness that is an ache in our souls. During this season of conversion I invite you to take the time to search for the healing springs of reconciliation that God has fashioned your heart. Let these waters percolate up from hidden depths and wash you clean, making you whole once again. Ride the rivers of glory during the Easter season as well. Risk being an adventurer who cannot wait to see what is around the next bend. Flow with the Spirit through the fifty days of Easter and with confidence let these holy waters lead you toward the oceans of everlasting freedom. S. Janis Yaekel, ASC
